On December 11 and 12, 2001, the MDM Film Commission hosted a two-day workshop under the heading “Location Scouting and Management”. Among the focal points were: Defining a location - How to create a script breakdown; Searching for locations - How to go about the research for suitable locations; Location criteria - What makes a site your perfect shooting location; Location photography - The best ways to document a location; The filming permit - How to best prepare for negotiations between the film producers and the site's owner; Presentation - What the art department expects from me.
Lothar Holler provided the set design for over 100 films — including “Sonnenallee,” “Der Laden,” and “Der Zimmerspringbrunnen” — and designed the scenery for about 30 plays.
